One day, I’m out of here
Meet Kim and Wendy, two sisters living life to the max.
At the end of last century, Kim and Wendy were working in Spain. Making sure holidaymakers had the time of their life, spending their summervacation in one of the hotels the sisters worked at ( a.o. Iberostar, Barcelo and Valentin Hotels).
After returning to Holland, both sisters worked in Dutch tourism for over a decade. Kim currently works as a secretary at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (Dutch Cancer Institute) in Amsterdam, whilst Wendy teaches Spanish and writes novels (five publications).
In love, married, divorced … both been there and done that. But whenever their world seemed to collapse, the two sisters reunited only to become stronger than ever. Together they’re unstoppable. The love of their parents Ron and Olga makes them unbreakable!
For almost seven years now, Kim and Wendy are living in Purmerend, The Netherlands. Together with the diva of the house, cat Sookie, they are enjoying life. And although life treats them good, they keep longing for their beloved Spain. The country, the people, the food, the culture. But above all, they miss working in tourism. There is no job that gives as much satisfaction as does working in tourism. Holidaymakers that come to say goodbye, thanking you for the best time of their life. Guests even phoned the company Kim and Wendy worked at in Spain, to find out where the two sisters were going to be working next summer. So they could make reservations in that hotel, to spend their next holidays with the two sisters again.
Hospitality runs through their veins. Combine that with the liberty to run a Bed & Breakfast in Kim and Wendy style: success guaranteed! For this, two years ago the two sisters started saving money. No more holidays, only buying the necessary new clothes (this is really difficult for girls) and buying new shoes only when they are needed (and women are always in need of new shoes, believe me). A very strict saving-rhythm, with the sole purpose of being able to get out of here one day.
After reading this quote, the two sisters decided to write about their Spanish dream. Almost exactly at the same time, they discovered the Costa de la Luz and fell in love with Chiclana de la Frontera. Just recently they’ve found the ideal location to start a Bed and Breakfast. All of a sudden their dream goal is closer than ever.

Are they going to make their dream come true? Will they ever get out of here? One day? Or never?
